I have a 150 watt halogen light, gets really hot, just wondering if this light works for growing, and if the heat is a problem,

No, Halogen lights are not the correct spectrum for growing and they produce so much heat that they wouldn't be feasable anyway.

Halide or HPS are the ones you need to look at.

I would suggest that you read the "Resources" link at the top of the page.

It's full of information that would help you.

Like Potus said, Metal Halide or HPS r the best for growing a substancial yield - the sun, of course, provides the best... however, Compact Florescents, LED's (in the correct spectrum), and Florescent Lights will also provide the necessary illumination required to grow pot.

note: I always spell wrong, so it don't matter :p
