growing, from indoors to out doors

i have plants about a foot high, all started inside and have hairs on them, i was on lights 12/12 and just went back to lights 18 hours on and 6 hours off. what i would like to know is, will the plants go back into the grow cycle and the hairs go away,and what will happen when i put them out side ? thanks for any help, GOD BLESS.
