How long till next prune?

Morning,
I got a 4f indica dominant mother, 6 months old. Every time i trim, the new growth is touching the lights in about a week an a half. (she loves to be trimmed)
I am trying to keep her a 4 footer. The last time i trimmed i had to remove several whole branches as the inner middle of the plant is choking itself out.
I also pinch but it just makes everything thicker.

My question: How long should i veg between trimmings?
Can i cut her back weekly?

oh yeah.. you can trim weekly, mine went strench out, so no need for trimming oh well. did pinched and some tops off to control their height then next thing I know the shooters did grow after stems was healed..

i was under the assuption i had to wait 2 weeks, but the growth is vigorous after the trim
