how to manicure

so looks like there is two types of growing weed, the big main colas and the rest of it, ie. the smaller buds. So how do you manicure a big cola? do you manually pull the entire big shade leaf off? Then use your scissors just trim into a big cigar. then trim the whole thing off the main branch and trim the big wood off. does all of this manicuring go on before it dries.

For harvesting the entire plant, do you think it is a good idea to cut it down and hang it for a day before doing anything.

by the way, do those 12" colas end up weighing about 2oz.'s or so each or even more?

You've pretty much nailed it on the head there stickerbushman. You manicure before it dries, makes for a much easier job. I usually leave those small trichome encrusted leaves to shrivel up and make one with the bud. Excellent smoke :ccc:
