just got my 400 w delivered to me. do i need to cool it with a fan or something? i imagine it will get hot.

really depends on what the ambient temperatures of your grow room will be when the light is running. Yes the light and ballast will get very hot, but they do not need cooling to run. The only thing you will need to worry about is room temperature
