So iv came a long way in a few months going from one light in my closet to a 2x4x6 tent a king 2000 plus and tam i have a king 1000 plus coming the 2000 says its suitable for a 3x3 space the 1000 for. A 2x2 space
. Also I will be receiving my carbon filter finally and the online fan and temp meters humidity meter
Iv also baught a oscillating fan that attached to the tent pole. My concern is I don't believe these lights are suitable for a 2x4 meaning to say they don't. Put out enough ppfd I had measured it with my phone app and it'seems strong enough but has to be up a little closer then id like . Also my phone could be off it's an app . All in all I may return the kings get my 160 bucks and im looking for a mars or spider that i can turn up and down and know the plants have enoigh light i spent on them bak or buy another 1000. Can anyone with experience using king LEDs or anyone with experience with mars spider farmer or have any input on ligbting suggest a light that would be ideal for my space

The Mars hydro TSL2000 (300watts) on Mars hydro website is on sale for $199 right now. The TS1000 (150watts)is also on sale for $95 but you would need to double up and run two in your 2x4

Spider Farmer SF2000 (200watts) is on sale on spider farmer website for $219
The SF1000 (100watts) is also on sale for $95 and there is a SF1000D that DOES NOT have a dimmer (so you would have to raise it to change intensity) on sale for $70 - you would need to double up on these for a 2x4

I have an SF1000 and a TS1000. I like them both - I use the SF1000 in a small tent to start my closet grow then when the plants are big enough, they go into the closet and I move the SF1000 in there to hang along side the TS1000. When either one of them finally takes a shit, I will replace with a mars hydro because I prefer more watts.

I have been running King LED lights for a couple of years now. The 2000 is fine for a 2x4 tent. I have 2 of those in my 4x4 Flower Tent right now. I recently started using Viparspectra lights and love their build quality. So much so that I am retiring my Kings and just bought a Viparspectra KS5000 500W multi bar light for better coverage in the 4x4.

Do you have the dimmer knob turned all the way up on your King 2000?

They don't have dimmer knobs or daisy chain functionality.
The problem with the King LEDs is that the same model numbers can come in 2 different shapes. I have 2 2000 models. 1 is longer and narrow the other is more square.

So if you get the square one you might feel like there is coverages issues in a 2x4 tent. The truth is it has enough power to raise it all the way up which helps coverage. I have moved on to Viparspectra lights. I have 2 quantum board models and have a multi light bar one arriving today for my 4x4 tent.

Viparspectra are basically the same as SpiderFarmer. Same diodes on a different board, but at least they are LM301B instead of just OSRAM or lower bin LEDs. Not sure how they do with heat, but the SpiderFarmers I had weren't as bad as Mars, but they still ran hot. . .

I have zero in person experience with Viparspectra...but those lights on Amazon all look and perform the same to me honestly.

This was grown under a King LED 2000. Strain is Critical, 1-gallon fabric pot in coco. The plant has 5 colas this size or bigger.

This was also grown under a King LED 2000, it was one of 2 plants in a 4x4 tent. Each one under their own 2000. Came out to 5.6 ounces dry. 2 2-gallon fabric pot in soil. El Patron. 10 weeks of flowering.

I am not pushing King LEDs. They are indeed "Amazon Lights". They are budget lights for sure but they will do the job. I have moved on to Viparspectra lights. Their quantum board lights are better than King lights. They just came out with their first multi-bar light and I took the plunge on that. It comes today.
The Kings are way cheaper. The multi-bar was 450 bucks. 500w draw.

Very nice 👊

Is vipar spectra pushing that pro model something or other? Something about a cover over the LEDs that like magnified the light or something (super technical, I know). Looked like some good results from it. Looking for a cheaper option, 4x2 flower footprint, for my closet grow Iight in the future for autos.

I have a couple of their lights. The P2000 works well in a 2x4 space. It's a quantum board model. It's 150 bucks on Amazon with another 10 off if you check the coupon box. Solid light for that space. I did 2 autos under it and it worked well. I needed something for my 4x4 tent so I got their K5000 multi-bar light. It's honestly the brightest light I have ever had and completely lights up the 4x4. No dead zones.
