S Stoney Bud Guest Oct 27, 2007 #2 The white hairs are called "Pistils". They are only on Female MJ plants or Hermaphrodites (male/female) plants. That's a good thing to see. It means you don't have a male plant. The female plant has the flowers that we smoke. We call them "Buds". I would suggest that you try to read every single post on this site. You'll learn all you need to know! Ask questions about the specific things you don't understand and come into the coffee table area to just talk about anything!
