Hi, Im new here to mjpassion. And I have a question. I made a typical new mj growing mistake by overfertilizing my plants. I would like to know, does anyone know if it bad for you/ more harsh to smoke mj that has been overfert'ed? Thanks!

ps: Im in week 5-6 of flower. I have already picked a couple of little bottom buds to try it out even though the trichs aren't cloudy yet. I want to know if it was the weed that made me sick, or if its just this nasty sickness going around.

do you use chem nutes or organic? if chem then that could be the problem, if organic you should be fine from smoking that mj. be patient wait til cloudy, then sample. theres no THC til they cloud up! your just burning green matter!

you have a few weeks or more to go s i say you will be fine...get her back on track...and if needed..flush the soil
:48:

As it's been said wait till the trichs are cloudy before you sample otherwise you're just wasting potential harvest. As for overferting my recommendation is you will have better harvests using slightly less than when you use to much and overfert. Using to much makes for a harsh smoke and will stunt your plants so you won't get as much as quick. Rule of thumb always allow minimum 2 weeks before harvest as a flush period use only water preferably distilled or if outdoors find a mountain stream:) anyways one other trick in the last month (and this can be done even through the flush period) is to add a little molasses to the water or some sugar this will help with bud swell in an organic grow and with flavor imo. Anyways just ease off the nutes and be patient my friend.

The extra nutes in the plant shouldn't have made you sick unless you swallowed some of the smoke. Swallowing smoke can make you quite nauseated, but the overnute in the plant shouldn't cause any sickness, it'll just make the smoke harsh. When you do the harvest, If you dry and cure it slowly so that most of the green chlorophyll in the bud leaves breaks down then they should not be harsh. :)

Welcome to the Passion :) feel free to ask any questions and post pics of your girls as we love pics and bud porn :D
