EDMONTON - An estimated $2.4 million worth of marijuana plants and ecstasy were seized from a rural property in the County of Wetaskiwin.
Working with the Red Deer Emergency Response Team and Wetaskiwin RCMP, Edmonton's Green Team executed a search warrant on the property, just west of Wetaskiwin.
RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Darrel Bruno said the matter is still under investigation and could not release further details, but he confirmed that the residence was on an acreage and there are two individuals police are looking to charge.
"Right now as far as they're aware, it's not gang related," he said.
Equipment for growing marijuana valued at $60,000 were also seized.
