if thats the case they will start selling houses made of things that they cant see through hopefully but i dont see how they could just go lookin at any ones house im shure theyed have to get a warrent and if they are gonna get a warrent then they alredy have to no somethin is up ,,but who noes these days

Maybe I'm missing something.. but I didn't read anything about the satellites being able to see through house walls. :confused2:

It's creepy that they feel confident enough to try to make it legal, but lets not kid ourselves, those satellites have long been up there looking down on us.

Satellites being used to catch a small grow room in 1 house relly isnr the concern here but the fact that some people in the government feel they could overstep our constitutional rights in the name of security is a way bigger problem.. BUT thats just my opinion.. but we will leave that discussion alone;) ..

Taken from http://www.infowars.net/articles/december2007/201207Satellite.htm

"Critics have called for cuts to DHS funding, stressing that the program is in direct violation of the Posse Comitatus act, which prevents the use of military for domestic law enforcement. It also violates the fourth amendment as the satellites are capable of seeing through the walls of people's homes."

Well they can already tap our phones (least in the U.S.) without a warrant

if u aint a tererist u aint got nothin to worry about ,,and mabey if ur growin large scale and selling then mabey also u have somethin to worry about ,,but like i said i dont think we have to worry much cause i think most growers hear just grow for personal use ,and im tataly aginst growing to sell ,,but any ways i think we will be ok,,,I HOPE

LOL
they had that device in the movie MI3
mission impossible 3.
i thought during the movie....what if the government actully has this??? im screwed :)
har har......i doubt they are going to spend like 1mill, to shift a satellite , just to look in your house.
im sure this device is for finding terrorist, and places where they make warheads, underground.....not to bust the stoner growing 5 plants...come on

Not worried about it on this end as far as my little concealed grow is concerned but I'm quite sure it doesn't cost 1 million to veer a sat. If anything a measly HF signal from a computer. Just the fact that they can do it and get away with it is what bugs me. Maybe Sat porn will get released, i can see a buncha computer junkies having fun looking into peoples houses, even during private times and hitting RECORD.. how'd you like that?

For any of you that saw the season Finale for Weeds:
in this episode Homeland Security had a bunch of infrared scans they looked throught and the guy noticed a big infrared cross in a house but didnt think nothing of it till som1 told him that this church had gotten their cross stolen and he passed the information to the local police just cause he saw the connection and he put 2 and 2 together. point im making is if lines are not setled early in the developing stage of all this security stuff that is exactly what will happen if the Goverment has the info, its just a matter of time before one of this overpaid politicians figure out a way to use it to their advantage. :aok:

EXACTLY, giving that much power to a human!! No way to control the temptation man!! honestly that is exactly my point..

I'm more concerned with my windows based phone with bluetooth and WIFI comunicating with my computer.

you think your identity is secure on this site when your cell phone is giving away your identification????? that technology is emerging now too.

there will be no such thing as "Privacy" in a few years unless the citizens stand up and make it known they care about their liberties......which they don't so,......be prepared to do whatever it takes in a few years.

well the fact the phone company has the ability to see that i post on this site is scary enough. its just like anything you know the know the risk and you know the consequinces involved in it but the thing is, is it worth it? they can imprison our bodies but they cannot im prison our soles. if thats what it comes down to bring it on homie just bring it on.

Homeland Security has gone in another direction with its biometric program. Master computer file of finger prints, iris scans, with face recognition. So in a crowd at say an airport known terrorist could be spotted boarding a plane. However, what if the program doesn't work correctly and innocent people are marked as terrorists, or cannibis users or whatever they want to use the technology for. The problem, GWBush is trying to sell to the people that less personal freedom will insure our safety from terrorists. With 9/11 alot of people agreed that more security was necessary at any cost. But...the potential abuse is overwhelming.

I remember when crypto first started with random prime number sequenced algorithmic encryption for secure communications. CIA thought they had something special. Then came web based secure email using essentially the same technology. Granted not using banks of crays, but very simple. One of the biggest concerns US gov had was secure communication of terrorists. How many people use secure email? Phones are so easy to listen in on. It doesn't take much to build a case on anyone doing something.

OK guys....this is gettin a lil "conspiracy" orientated. Not saying there is one or not one....but this is a MJ forum.
Not gonna close it yet...but keep it toned down.

I don't think there's anything to worry about. saw a documentary about it lately. For someone to be prosecuted they would have to have the technology on trial as to how accurate it was. This would mean revealing how it operated and the technology involved.

Better off for the government if people don't know how it works !

They Probably already have them up there..and they wouldnt need to have proof of how it worked ..if they busted you for a made up reason..like an anounymous call
