i under stand what the soils ec is now and i know how to lower and raise it but how do i check it . this is all new to me i never this was even an issue. any info would help

well you cant directly. the EC electrical conductivity is a measure of the water, or ppm of nutes in water. soil grower dont really measure this. if soil is rich in nutes then you dont need nutes. if you do use nutes, follow the directions. not much else to do other than check ph.
