Switching Wattage mid flower

Has anybody ever switched wattage mid flower?

I want to cool off my small tent a little by going from 1000w to 600w..

I went the other direction . . . 400W to 800W in week 5

I don't see where it would hurt anything to cut back some unless it drops you below the minimum lumens for the floor space. If 600w gives over 5k lumens to your space then it should be fine, unless you are running at an optimized level for the lumens that the 1k light is putting out, then it may just mimic the late fall light levels of nature and (possibly)encourage the plants to build flowers faster. If you are optimized for 600w and had it turned up then turning it back will probably make little difference.
