t5 lights

hi everyone

Has anyone used the quantum badboy T5 lights? I want to use it in a closet for a maximum of 2 plants. how will it do for both vegging and flowering? what wattage should i use for 2 plants?

I think that they have both red and blue bulbs. (2 blue and 2 red in a frame of 4). is it possible to replace the red ones with blue ones during vegitation and replace the blue with red during flowering? will doing this make it more effective?

also, it doesnt need a ballast does it? and there's no risk of causing a fire ?

I use them just for vegging.

No external ballast, all one piece.

Cannot help you on flowering but they will work just not nearly as good as hps.

WeedHopper has done both so maybe he can chime in with more info for ya
