too close?

my 150w hps is 10 inches away and gettin closer

as long as it keeps cool and the plant dousnt get burnt will it b ok?

ive heard somethin about too much infrared too close, but is 150 watts even matter?

or is the closer the better so they can **** in all the juice?

the closer the better just make sure you dont burn them what you do is place your hand under the light and if it is to hot for your hand its to hot for the plant

One of the byproducts of artificial lighting is infrared light. This light isn't affected by fans and reflects easily.

If your light is too close to the plants, the infrared light can harm the plants real fast.

At 10 inches, your 150 should be just right. Any closer and it will cause problems.

A 400 should be about 18 inches away.

1000 36 inches

This all depends on reflection as well.
