why the stretch??

My plant is under 400w mh. Why is it stretching???

I wouldn't attribute what you see to stretch. I would say that looks like good genetics with nice big stem visible early in life. I have grown literally thousands of new seedlings from seeds, and some seedlings have longer stems and some shorter. Give it some time. It will probably fill out nicely.

it doesnt look stretched at the minute ,,,but you may get some if you cannot get the mh close enough whist its still a :baby:,,,when you repott her just bury the strtched stem to the first set of leaves eace:

Looks fine to me. that isnt any stretch. but babies look like they are stretchin at first, until they get that 2nd node of leaves :hubba:

I agree, you need to be using flourescent lights at that early stage of life, MH could cook it....veg it til it's 3rd leaf nodes, and then transfer it to the MH light gradually

I would bury that seedling to about 1/2" from the first set of leaves.

Looks dead on to me. Stop worrying. When you transplant, jus bury it closer to the leaves.
