3 MEN GO INTO A HOTEL.

THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK SAID THE ROOM IS £30.00 FOR THE NIGHT SO EACH MAN PAID £10.00 AND WENT TO THE ROOM.

A WHILE LATER THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK REALISED THE ROOM WAS ONLY £25.00

SO HE SENT THE BELLBOY TO THE 3 GUYS' ROOM WITH £5.00

ON THE WAY THE BELLBOY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO SPLIT £5.00 EVENLY BETWEEN 3 MEN, SO HE GAVE EACH MAN A £1.00 COIN AND KEPT THE OTHER £2.00 FOR HIMSELF.

THIS MEANT THAT THE 3 MEN EACH PAID £9.00 FOR THE ROOM, WHICH IS A TOTAL OF £27.00

ADD THE £2.00 THAT THE BELLBOY KEPT = £29.00

WHERE IS THE OTHER POUND?

that looks a very pert back pocket you have, looks like it hasnt been used much

Each man actually paid 9.33 for the room, not 9 (25 + 3 = 28, 2 for Bellboy):p

there is no other dollar. it how u do the math. :p i been using that one for years

Lets reverse calculate,
Each man paid 10 pound and boy paid them back 1 pound so each paid 9,
10-1=9
3x9=27
The boy has 2 pound so lets subtract it as well.
27-2=25

Also at the end of our story we need to subtract 2 from subtotal not to add XD

Guys, it's too easy, if they pay $30, give $2 to the bellboy, that leaves $28 they paid or $9.33 each. And i thought you boys were suppose to be smarter in math :p
It's worded tricky but incorrectly for the true math problem.
They pay $30 or $10 each. Return the $5 and they paid $25 or $8.33 each. Give them a dollar a piece more ( now $9.33 each) and $2 to the bell boy. :p

OMG! i been tellin this one but with dollars(U.S. and all)for like 25 yrs...er, since high school. what a trip. BTW, still haven't found the other dollar/pound
