african violate soil???

hi guys, i found some miracle grow african violate potting soil and it says it maintains most plants at a healthy pH for big blooms... do you think i should attempt potting a plant in there or no? one of my new sprouts is growing in some pretty well decomposed horse manuer mixed with regular potting soil and it seems to be growing normally when some said the nitrogen would burn up my plant.
