Is there no such thing as a 150 watt hps to mh conversion bulb? I have heard people speak of them but never seen one for sale.

Hello Raoulduke2.0 :)

Some interesting info here :aok:

hxxp://homeharvest.com/conversionbulbs.htm

none of those described were 150 watts. Could I just put I higher wattage bulb in my socket and use it anyway? It has a higher capacity but I won't be reaching its potential so I can't imagine how that would cause a hazard.

I'm not sure there are 150 watt metal halide bulbs, I think they start at 175 watts unless they are the HQI ones.

No, you must use the correct wattage for the ballast you have. I don't think that they have 150W conversion bulbs. Why not just get a MH setup or veg with CFLs or a T5?
