I have read about the whole 12 hours of sunlight 12 hours in the dark for however long to be able to determine the sex of a plant, but i was just curious as to how long it would take a plant after seeding it for it to reach the maturity level to be able to tell ( without the 12 hour deal ). I am sure it varies with conditions and variety, but there must be a ballpark estimate out there . I know what it is I am looking for, i just want to know about how many weeks it should take a healthy plant to reach this stage.

Leaving the plant in veg it takes about two months to see a females pistols. Males generally show a little sooner. All plants are different though. I`ve had them fully flower in veg, weird huh?
