soil ?'s

hi all, let me start bye telling you all, how i started my plants. one day i was walking out of my house had a hand full of seeds. on my table was a pot of soil i just throw them in there and a few weeks later i had plants growing. but my ? is this dirt i had in my shed was what ive been using has 28% to 38% reed sedge peat, sphagnum peat moss, perlite, and washed sand i know its not that farm stuff but does it have enough to make my plants good plant there are out doors plants so the light is the sun. and they have them little white hairy things which i belive is the starting the flowering and comments can only help me with my first grow ever
