    crap.. broken timer, what next?

Ok so I have 4 plants, they are almost 5 weeks into flowering. I have my timer set so the lights are on from 6pm-6am, well the timer didn't go off this morning so they have been on for almost 27 hours straight. I already unplugged the lights.. so am i screwed? Should i just wait 12 hours and...

    Turbogarden Ebb & Flow knockoff

Checked local hydro shop, lowes, HD, etc. No luck, but I can always just order them online. I was j/w if they had additional drain holes or something to allow them to 'fill' more efficiently in a ebb & flow setup. Your going to go SOG right? What strain are you looking at & how tall will you...

    Turbogarden Ebb & Flow knockoff

Awesome setup; Im going w/ ebb & flow for my next grow and I was thinking of something like this. Is there anything special w/ the individual pots? Or are they just normal 5" square pots w/ drain holes at the bottom? Oh and where did you find them, can't seem to find sq. pots anywhere Thanks!

    best ventilation option?(with pics)

I have used the inline booster fans for grows in small spaces, and they do work. I agree that a vortex or canfan is much much better, which is why I pointed to htg. IMO, a 4" 170cfm fan is all that's necessary if you go that route, possibly a 6". Not an 8".

    best ventilation option?(with pics)

Well, rule of thumb is you want to be able to exchange the air in your room at least once a minute. So If you break down your 2x6x8' space into two sections: 2x6x5' (flower) & 2x6x3' (veg) that gives you 60 CF & 36 CF, respectively. So, your basically looking for 2 fans rated above 60...

    best ventilation option?(with pics)

I would treat your setup as 2 separate rooms, each with its own intake/exhaust. You can put a vent on the outside of the room, and a 90 degree duct to eliminate light leaks on the inside. The setup in pic2 would work great for your flowering room; you are scrubbing the air w/ the filter...

    best ventilation option?(with pics)

The first design is kinds pointless. No need to be filtering air that is simply being run through ductwork to cool your lights and back out. If you want to stick with 2 fans/1 filter, I would have a fan pulling air through the filter/light and exhausting out for the flower section. For the...

    Yellowing on 3 week olds

Thanks for all the responses! This is my first soil grow( dwc last go around ) and I always second guess myself on watering. So just water slowly and thoroughly till it seeps out the bottom? And I plan on starting FF 3-part Jutes on the bigger ones today

    germination ? _• ?

I've had 100% success w/ the paper towel method. I take 2-3 layers of paper towels fold them twice so they are in a square again, drench them in warm water then soak them out so they are moist. I take that towel and put it on a ceramic dinner plate. Then I take another moist paper towel...

    attic grow room advice

Im having trouble picturing your setup, but last winter I grew 2 plants in DWC in a room i built in my attic. I have since removed the room and moved my growop downstairs. Im not sure where you live, but temperatures, as im sure you well aware of, tend to be in the extrema in attics; so if you...

    Fan Question

So I currently have a 6" 160cfm exhaust and a 4" 80cfm intake. My room isn't air tight so there is also air being drawn passively from the cracks in the door frame, floor, etc. Anyway, the 6" exhaust is old and rather loud. My grow room is located in a closet in my bedroom and it exhausts to...

    Yet another ventilation q

Cmd: not boring at all! Hah, I'm just trying to gather opinions; I kinds threw together my last grow room so I'm taking my time to avoid issues down the road. Thx for the input.. I think I'll setup the 6" to pull air through the filter and exhast, while the 4" is cooling the light (as best as a...

    Yet another ventilation q

So how do you have 3 seperate exhast points? Or how do you encorporate all 3 into your exhast? I'm basically trying to cool my light/room, remove the smell, and exhast all in one line. Are you using a carbon filter?

    Yet another ventilation q

Yah i plan on cutting a hole in the floor and putting in a register to serve as a passive air intake, i forgot to add that tidbit. The 4" fan is merely pulling air through my light to cool it, and push it to the carbon scrubber. Wouldn't the 4" fan help 'boost' the 6" fan? And with a 160 CF...

    Yet another ventilation q

Ok so im currently prepping a new room for a new grow. I will be growing in a 4'x5' closet that is about 8' tall. I have a 600w HTG HPS w/ cooltube and two 150w 20$ HPS to supplement for flowering. Im trying to figure out my ventilation, and this is what i've come up w/ so far: Have a...

    Ventilation question

Hey.. sorry to jack this thread a little but I too am in the process of setting up my ventilation for a new grow. I have what may be a stupid question: should I be worried about smell leaking out if i have a passive air intake with a 6" carbonscrubbed/canfan pushing air out?
