    combine veg and flower?

I have a space of 2.5 x 2.5 x up to 9ft. I was originally going to enclose the fan in a small box on top of the grow, and then have my electronics and what not on a panel on top of that. Should I hang my light at 6ft, leaving room for the filter on top of it? OR Should I keep things lower...

    Ventilation for smaller grow rooms

well the fan i was getting for exhaust is an elicent and is about 200bucks...so it's a good fan. the cpu fan would be just a step above a passive intake...by adding a 50cfm fan as an intake, i figured it would help

    Ventilation for smaller grow rooms

Yea, I'm thinking about a smaller CPU fan for the intake, and a 4" inline, around 150CFM for the exhaust right now. I'll just leave them on and have a constant flow of air. The only reason I'm even using an expensive inline fan is because of the carbon filter. I have had good success in the...

    Ventilation for smaller grow rooms

I notice on the forum a lot of advice is given and there are so many variables for each person's room, that it gets confusing. I have questions for people that have smaller grows 2-5 plants, depending on size...in a closet most likely. My main question at this point is ventilation. I'm...

Drug Test ??? Oldtimers PLEASE HELP!!!

Why not the sure fire way...synthetic urine. Pour it in a small bottle, mix with water...stick it in your pants. When you get there pour it out into the cup. It is impossible to fail with synthetic urine. ****, you could even get a wizzinator if they want to watch you pee.

    fan-controller-thermostate (all in one)

Hmm...now you have me thinking. It is a small area, and a small grow with only a 250HPS...so I'm thinking something like this 4" elicent is going to be pretty powerful, and I still would have to assume a 4" inline will be quieter than a 6" inline, since the 6" isn't offered in a low cfm like the 4"

    Noise Level of Fan's?

I have heard elicent make some of the quietest inline fans. I'm pretty close to purchasing the 4" model. Either way, I'll be using a speed controller with it. I'd rather spend 15 bucks on a controller and run the fan slower and quieter...then spend 200 bucks and just be Sh-t out of luck.

    fan-controller-thermostate (all in one)

Do you push or pull air through the filter? I always thought it made more sense to have the fan up high, since hot air rises.

    Noise dampening...Any ideas?

Which particular speed controller do you use? I have heard some make the noise worse (a motor type noise). I'm in the same boat. I would like a nicer inline fan, but I'm worried about the noise. I will be using a large carbon filter on the "suck" side of the fan to help dampen.

    fan-controller-thermostate (all in one)

so if that is the case...i would dangle the carbon filter inside the box, and just have a plain chimney stack type deal coming out the top of the box. it just makes me nervous doing it that way for some reason, but it really shouldn't :D given the size of the box, 2.5x2.5x7 or so...what would...

    completely sealed...thermostat??

at that point is it even worth it? If they are going to both kick on at pretty much the same time, wouldn't the neg pressure from the exhaust fan blowing out, pretty much suck whatever air it would need from a passive intake? I'll have the airking circulating air inside 24/7...so perhaps...

    fan-controller-thermostate (all in one)

...on a side note, if I were to use carbon scrubbers in this set-up. Would it be overkill to have one inside the box and one outside the box? So the fan would be sucking and pushing through carbon? I still haven't found a preferred method of using the carbon...pushing or pulling. It seems to...

    fan-controller-thermostate (all in one)

I'm searching for a fan right now, and I have my eye set on an Elicent 4" Fan - 152 CFM. I'm going to use this at the top of my enclosure for the exhaust, vented into a carbon filter. Now, noise is a huge factor for me. I have heard great things about how quiet this particular fan is...and...

    completely sealed...thermostat??

I'm building a TIGHTLY sealed new box (due to stinky skunk smells last time). My question is, if I set the inline exhaust fan on a thermostat, but I leave the small CPU intake fan, and small desk fan blowing inside the box, what happens when it gets cool enough and the inline fan turns off...

HEAT... Better to Intake or Exaust

so does this mean you have the filter inside the tent? i'm in a similar situation, I have a 30"x30"x70" area and I'm in the process of setting the ventilation. my idea was to have a small CPU fan on the bottom for an intake, and then find a quiet inline fan for the exhaust. I don't know if I...

    Carbon Filter

What type of fans for them do you think I should use? In the past I used computer fans, but I think I would like to do something a little nicer and more professional. Quiet is key. I know a small computer fan might be good enough for the intake, but as far as what pushes out through the...

    Carbon Filter

I'm in the process of making a new box and was wondering if I had this right... top side of the box has fan blowing into the side of the light from the outside... on the top of the box (outside of the box)a carbon filter and exhaust fan... or should I make it easier and use a passive intake...
