    how many hours of daylight

As Mrcane says I go 18 -6 with young plants indoors. This is strain specific however. If you have plants that are autos or part auto they may start to flower even with 6 or 8 hours of darkness.

    Need some outdoor advice.

All of the above is good advice. Read, read, read on this and other sites. Find a strain that is good for your area. Dig a hole and fill it with good soil and research good nutes. Most forest soils need some lime in the bottom of the holes. Beware blood and/or bone meal, fish ferts etc, if you...

    Dr.Chronic

I ordered from the Doc several times a few years ago. The service was great and his rep was A-1. In the last year or two I have heard many horror stories about his service. It seems things have gone to hell there so I would buy elsewhere if I were you.

Won't go see the Dr. again...

I ordered from the doc several times a few years ago and had great service; apparently it has been all downhill since then. The boards are full of horror stories about poor service, lost orders, etc, and I for one will never order from him again.

'First Irish case' of death by spontaneous combustion

Too much Irish whiskey, leading to not enough blood in his alcohol stream perhaps.

    Hurricanes and Wild Fire

Glad you got through it OK Mountainman. Here in Atlantic Canada our problem is lack of sun and one of the wettest summers on record. You'd need a nuclear weapon to get a forest fire going here. Environment Canada's chief meteorologist has said we will have a nice fall, sounds good until you...

    Would deer pull a plant?

Deer will do this but they will not eat plants once they begin to bud. When growing outdoors do not use molasses, blood/bone meal, fish ferts etc. They are way too attractive to bears, coyotes, foxes, coon etc.

    clones went into bloom

You don't say what strain you have. Most will reveg when placed outdoors unless they are an auto-flowering strain, in which case they will continue to flower.

    pots vs the ground

Holes definitely work better and one of the problems I have had with pots is that animals like raccoons will overturn them looking for grubs underneath. In my area blood and bone meal is a no-no because bears, raccoons, coyotes will dig out plants looking for the source of the blood and bone...

What to do with the shake??

Fresh freezing is the best way to keep your shake if you are intending to make water hash, that is with the bags, etc.

    What is Keeping Marijuana Illegal?

The US "justice" system is set up, not to keep the streets safe, but to imprison as many people as possible. The law enforcement and prison industry employs hundreds of thousand and creates vast profits for prison companies. The US imprisons a greater percentage of it's people than any other...

    guerilla grow question ??????

You could probably get away with planting 5 or 6 in one small area with no problem. IMO the main thing is to plant randomly, i.e. not in rows or in a square pattern as shrubs do not grow like this in nature. I try to plant on the south sides of trees or shrubs so the they will get lots of sun...

    hermi pollanted my females

I disagree with most of the above. I got some MJ cheap from a dealer once because it was full of seeds. His supplier had a hemie in his growroom and did not notice. I ended up with a lot of seeds and grew some outdoors over several years and gave some to friends who also grew them out. ALL...

how many frosts should i leave my plant out for????

Harvest time depends on the strain, I live in Atlantic Canada and have harvested a few plants and will take in some more next weekend. There are a few that will need at least 3 more weeks. While frost will not harm some strains others are more sensitive. My blue freeze will not be ready until...

    Molasses sub

I second what Hick and Mountain Man said. Forget molasses outdoors. Bears, raccoons, skunks and other critters love sweets just as much as people do. I am all for organic growing, just not outdoors, at least not in this area. Growers have lost all their plants by using fish ferts or blood and...

Frost and light freeze on the way in my neck of the woods...help me save bush

I am in Eastern Canada and there is risk of frost tonite. Am I worried? No. In my experience cool nights and warm sunny days makes for big buds. What scares me in the fall is damp conditions and the dreaded bud-rot. If your plants are situated so that the morning sun does not hit them until...

    Anybody havin this problem???

I live in Maritime Canada and around here we usually plant about end of first week in June, plants that have been vegged indoors for awhile of course. Snow on June first? That's just obscene.
