so with my setup i can basically run between 5,000 Lumens /ft2 or 6,300 Lumens /ft2. How much of a difference would be noticed in terms of yield? would potency be affected? if anyone has any actual data in terms of yield per sq ft with similar lumen outputs with floro's that would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

no data but my theory is if lumens @ 5000 is good
anymore should be better
not sure if you know but sun is about 10,000

i realize that more lumens is better as that is pretty much common knowledge...i was wanting some insight into (at a minimum of 5k lumens/ft2), what would adding another 1k lumen/ft2 translate into? only reason i ask, i have heat issues and am trying to weigh the pros/cons if adding the extra lumens is worth battling the heat. thanks guys.

Well if heat is an issue then I would say not. It can hurt your harvest so it would cancel out anything by adding the extra light. Ever thought of running CO2? I keep my temps at 85 with gas and pull great yields.
