Stoney, I thought of doing a grow sort of like this;

1. use plastic house gutter 4"X4"X how ever long to fit in room.
2. set 4x4" rock wool blocks or baskets full of coco 2-3' apart.
3. water/nutes would run one end to other, with roots growing downstream.
4. They won't want be more 'n' about 2.5' tall due to top heavy buds in small container.

In an NFT, (Nutrient Flow Technique), system like what you describe, a 3" gap between cubes won't be sufficient for the root mass and plant width.

I would advise at least 12" between cubes.

I've had lots of experience with NFT grows and spacing the cubes out is very important.

This type of grow requires continuous flow as well. Inside NFT setups tend to periodically cause severe problems as well, with overflow.

Root mass becomes large enough to cause the nutrient/water flow to back up and overflow. I've never used one indoors for that reason.

They all do it once in awhile.

I would advise you to stick with ebb and flow for indoor use.
