just wondering if you can use a brita as a carbon filter...to the best of my knowledge, they are activated carbon filters...anyone know one way or the other?

I use one for my water. For air, I don't think it would work, how would the air pass through? There are lots of DIY options for odor control though, most of which you can find here.

well the air would pass through it via some form of fan, and im not suggesting this out of need, just a random thought i wondered if anyone tried this or something...thats all

I'm not really sure if a Brita filter would work for air. I guess if the air passed through the carbon, it would help some. Definitely check out the DIY carbon scrubbers and see what you can come up with. Take care and keep us posted. Be safe.
