I recently transplanted a two week old plant from a peat/pearlit mixture into a hydro DWC setup. The DWC consists of a 6'' net pot filled with hydroton. The water has a dilute mixture of Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow 3-1.5-4. I tested the water with my new PPM meter and it read ~180. PH of the water is unknown (PH meter is on order) I'm using distilled water. The lights the plant is under are CFL's, 6500k, total lumens: 8000. All the lights are 3-4" away from the plant, and I don't think "light burn" is the culprit. Grow Area 2'x2'x5' (LxWxH) Temps range from 80-90, and humidity is around 20-30% After the transplant, I noticed that just two leaves were getting this brown stuff on them. I figured it was just a bit of the soil from when I washed off the roots to transplant. I misted the leaves and tried to gently rub off the brown stuff, but it didn't come off, so I left them. The leaves now look sick, and the brown areas have gotten more pronounced. What I think is interesting is that it's only on these two leaves. The rest of the plant looks a little stressed, but I'd be angry too if I got uprooted from my home and put into another one.
Is there anything I can do to help this plant along?
What might be causing this?
Would cutting off the effected leaves help or hurt the plant?
Any input or suggestions is highly appreciated.
If you need any more information on my setup feel free to ask.
(Edit) This plant was started from bagseed, it's about 2.5 weeks old, about 2.5'' tall, and on 24/0 light cycle. THe grow area is enclosed, and there is a 4'' "high velocity" fan for inlet at the bottom, and a 9'' fan for outlet at the top.
