Can Plants "See" Light?

Now your catching my attention,
I know that animals for the most part do not see in the infra red spectrum, but I never thought that there would be a part of the spectrum that plants could not sense, how cool.

this is why you dont have you plants crammed together, although yes they still grow. I want my babes personality to be sweet and nice too!
