CFL or MH

so which one would be better for vegetation? 400 watts of CFL or 400 Watts of Metal Helide?

MH. No competition. Straight up, more efficient with the same amount of heat. Also cheaper.

cfl's are really idealy for us cheap heads , if you have the cash for mh or hps then like they said , no competition

Yeah, I thought so too... but those CFLs when u buy a bunch cost a lot... I had 8... so 2 lightbars... $40 plus 8 CFLS at $15 a piece $160... U get the idea.
A 1000w ballast costs the same where i'm at.
