i just wanted to know where the best place it cut clones from. close to the main stem or not. all help would be great!! thanks

I cut from the lowest branches, that opens up the bottom for air circulation, and also the lower shoots seem to root easier. Yes take your cutting flush from the main stem, but I try to leave the sucker leaf.

why do you not use the sucker leaf? that is what i use when cloning a tomatoe plant
 
lol...if you can get a leaf to root...well then I guess go for it.
