Fellow growers,
My last two grows were smaller buds than I am used to expecting.
It took me a long time to figure out why,
but just today I checked the date on my 400 w hps bulb and it was 20 months old!
No wonder the yields were small.
From now I'll change bulbs every year saving the bulb as a spare as there is one one more crop left
in it if it is 12 months old but thats it!
I've seen how long a bulb lasts and I'll save them for spares at a year
but will trash them at 14 months.
