I hate windows vista. Why did you have to change xp? I mean how much money do you need? My old computer died. Extended warrnty company couldnt find one comp for me with xp. I hate them as well.

Now onto the real problem. It seems that firefox has been causing some troubles on my computer. Causing slow response times. Screen freeze. It has some conflicts with Windows Vista I think. Anyone else have problems with firefox and vista. Or any other computer problems you feel like venting about?:D

Hello Smokey :)

UKgirl -vista works, microsoft does a good job. xp was like a comfortable pair of jeans. Ya don't want them to wear out. I have been using IE, I'll have to see if I have the same problems. Does it happen when you have multiple tabs open? My comp was slowly grinding to a halt. Eventually wouldnt even open a program. I kept up on removing old files etc. It wouldn't even show any extra cpu usage when the task manager was open.

HIE. Is there nothing you can't find for people. :D Seriously, thanks man.

Hick LMAO thats the message I got last tues, wed and saturday.:hitchair: I have a looong list of B.S. from the last 2 weeks.

For all of you who hate vista just wait windows 7 is about to be released to replace it. In other word they are putting out vista in a new box with all the same old problems,... and it will only cost you $400 to get pissed and smash up your computer.

Yeah I hate Vista as well....My goal for today is to backup all needed files on my laptop and remove Vista and install XP....it shld not take 5-10 minutes for the web browser to come up after you hve clicked the damn icon...

It took 3 attempts for me to get service pack 1 installed. I wish I could afford to get XP. I still had problems with firefox. I will try now that SP1 in installed. I wouldn't take a copy of windows 7 if you gave it to me.

Vista and Firefox work well together for me. I was having problems with IE shutting down when I would try to post pics to the net so I switched and it's been smooth so far.
Lots of the programs that come with Vista are crap. Outlook is the first one that comes to mind.

LOL Eastla. It aint de porno.:D

I installed firefox again from HIE link. It wont even open. Just crashes:hitchair:

I'm gonna look on the firefox site. Seems to be enough people that have it. Maybe its the compaq comp. I have. :stuff-1125699181_i_

Phat- my computer knowledge is what I have learned by dealing with problems.:D Like many others I have had them with every comp I have had.

Someone may see this and chime in with a better way. If your'e using Internet explorer 7 this is the way To clear your cookies and temp internet files. click on tools, click internet options. Under the general tab, you will see Browsing history. WHEN you click delete it will erase the files that get put on your computer when you visit web pages. ( MAKE sure you have your passwords for the sites youre a member of). It helps to clear these out from time to time, your comp will get new ones when you visit the sites. You will have to login to sites again, they wont know who you are because the cookie they sent your comp. is gone. You will get a new one when you log in again. Hope that helps your comp. run faster. Oh and make sure your antivirus is up to date. with the latest virus updates. Gl.

Lol Hick, must be date nite? Phat look up computer ram. If I remember right Random Access Memory is the amount of info your comp can keep outside of the hard drive. It takes more time to get info from the hard disk. So more ram=faster screen loading time. Or in Hicks case more joke options.
