I am starting a new grow with nirvana white widow, and jock horror. The white widow takes 8 weeks, and the jock takes 10-11 weeks.

I usually run plain water for the last 7-10 days in my ebb & flow system.

My question is, has anyone done 2 strains with such a difference in maturity time? Is there anyway that I can flush the white widow, while stll continuing to flower the jock?

My idea was to swith to plain water at 7 weeks, and go back to nutes after the white widow is done at 8 weeks. Will this work, or will the drastic change in nutes hurt the jock?
Thanks,

Do you have a different reservoir for each plant, or each strain for that matter? If so, you can flush that res while still adding nutes to the other. If not, then just give both pure water for a while, and add a healthier dose the last fertilization. After you harvest the one plant, add nutes to the other plant once more and continue to flush a 2nd time. :D :bong1: :bong1:

I learned the hard way, as I'm sure many others have as well, that growing two different strains using the same reservoir and nutrients can sometimes be a recipe for disaster. For example my white widow strain doesn't like high levels of nutrients but my BC Big bud strain will take as much as you can through at it. If I grow these two plants together I have to choose between burning my white widow or underfeeding and reducing the harvest of my big bud. Lose lose. The last two weeks of flower is also when your plant will pack on the most weight so by robbing your jock of nutrients during the period when its doing its most bud developement you will ultimately be reducing your harvest.
