Just put the girls in the flower room yesterday. My question concerns height of the 600HPS for the first few days. Using the hydrohut. I'm at three feet now. According to the light chart I should be minimum 29 inches. Is this accurate? They appear happy and showing signs of pre-flowering after one day. What is the proper lumens for this stage? How low should HPS go ultimately?

as close as you can get it with out heat being an issue.

I'm not sure what the accepted "norm" is for a 600 watter but headband said it: as close as possible without burning the tops. Good luck and keep us posted. Take care and be safe.

I would say that you can safely get the lamp to 24 inches, closer perhaps with adequate cooling.
