messed up topping/ mutant leaves

Well...I topped my plant and have been waiting for the new stems to grow out. They're starting to, but the leaves coming out are all mutated. And I have some 4 leafers coming out of the secondary leaves. Just wondering if this was common or something. More importantly if I messed up when I topped the plant or if it will grow out of it.

nah, sometimes u'll actually get a couple tops outta one when the growshoot is pinched.

yeah, I didn't do the pinch method. I used some surgical scissors and just cut it. I just didn't want one of the stems to come out deformed or anything.
