I've been told that lemon juice, etc. doesn't keep the pH down... that in a day or so, it will raise back up. Is that true?

Don't know if that matters or not for soil grows, but is something to consider (if accurate) for hydro grows.

Yes sometimes it goes back up.

Wont baking soda bring the ph UP?
Also, what about household bleach? Its not organic, but it should work, and i think i read somewhere that the plants can stand up to 2% volume of bleach of H202... they both act to keep the water clean of algae, etc.
