Question about lighting?

I built a grow room, but I have some light showing though the tarp. My plants are not getting the light that is getting though, but it’s reflecting off the wall, so it’s not direct light. I know it’s important not to have light leaking though. Does the room need to be completely dark?

in a word, yes, any regular light leakage will cause stress.

im a NOOB how does stressed plants look like?

your grow area needs to be light proof especially during flowering as it is the lenght of darkness that causes them to flower. If they are getting other light when they are meant to be in darkness you will get stressed plants and maybe hermies. Plants should just look healthy, ie not droopy and be a nice shade of green, anything else and something is up.
