smells funny

hi i have one plant its heavy into flower and it has started to smell like a locker room also i have noticed little brown patches on the base of leaf stems in some buds could it be the start of bud rot?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

nope no pix but they are on the base of of leaf stems dose it sound like bud rot?

not spots either just kinda the bottom of the node is off color
