T5 and 400HPS?

This is going to be my first grow without my dad and im trying to make it a good grow. I have 2X4X5ft set up that I will be growing 3plants(female seeds) for 1st time learning experience. I want to know what lights are best for what cycles of the plants life veg/flowering)?.. I have 2 diffrent T5 2ft bulbs a 6400K and 3000K and then I have a 400W HPS set up. .Thanks

6400k T5 bulbs are ideal for veg..
3000k T5 bulbs, and the 400W HPS are ideal for flowering..

For the flowering is one better then the other? Will one give out a higher yield?

High Pressure Sodium gives better yield and tighter buds than T5's IMHO
