Hey first time grower here. I have a 3' x 3' ebb and flood table I'm looking to veg from, and then flower under a 1000 watt HPS. Problem is, I'm confused on lighting for the veg stage. I have the heat issues for flowering room taken care of, but veg is a problem. I keep reading vegging with t5's isn't ideal, but does anybody have any experience? What do you guys think, for a 3 x 3 table what lighting should I get (a 400 (?) watt MH or an 8 bulb t5 lamp system?) I'm looking to veg the plants for a month or so (or however long it takes for about 1 1/2 feet), and if results from MH are significantly better I'll figure out how to take care of the heat I guess. Thanks everybody!

T5 would save some cash on the electric bill and Floruos promote root growth better than HID.

T5's are awsome for Vegging. I have a 4ft 6tube 30,000 lumens:hubba:

I like using my 400 watt Mh,

I have a 4ft 8 tube t5 and it does the job well with little heat.
