Well, I got a few grows under my belt now and a few different strains, and right from the first grow to my last, my weed has a weird taste to it. It's like a sour kind of ammonia taste to it, and smells like it to when it's curing too. Not that it's bad, but it takes away from the flavour of the strain. I thought it was strain related but all my weed is like that. Is this normal for home grown?
Here's the low down:
Grown in peat with bone meal, blood meal, earthworm castings, and lime in it. Given chemical ferts for a little booster (dnf right now, but have tried a couple different kinds all together). Don't give any nutes for the last 2-3 weeks of flowering. I never flush. Dry for 2 weeks, then they go into jars. Cure for up to 2 months, usually shorter. Can't think of anything else, let me know if I left anything out. It's nothing major, but would like to get rid of that taste though. Peace!
