What Is This???

Hi, I have one stalk that has this white substance in it. While I was inspecting this, I noticed moisture under the leaves. (it was dripping wet, not just moist) and this looks like what was left over after water evaporated. It is ony on one stalk of six plants and only a few leaves and edges of leaves on one flower. I did notice a small white bug (looked like a leaf hopper) right where this is happening. It got away so I have no photos of bug. Indoor grow, about 78 degrees lots of ventilation with a 400w HPS

Looks like aresiude from something. Reminds me of when I sprayed some sevin on a plant and it left a residue. Will this stuff wipe off?

yes, it will whip off

i'd say wipe it off for now and wait to see if it comes back.... if it comes back then worry....
