whats wrong with my light?

Whenever my timer clicks for my light ti turn on, the ballast turns on I can hear the little fan going, but the bulb turns on and off over and over again sometimes for 30 minutes before it stays on. Is this normal? It did it last grow also. And its the same if im using mh or hps bulb.

If its a coil and core ballast it sounds like your capacitor is going out.

Is it just the warm up flicker some these big ol lights do from time to time. Then gain I dont know as much as most here but have seen some these lights flicker like a flame when the first turn on until they be all warm and fuzzy. Hopin yual dont have any problems on yur trail friend. Much luck to ya.

I had the same problem, I ended up changing out the bulb.
