When do I harvest?

Super skunk auto. 11/ 1/2 weeks from seed, growing in hydro bucket, one plant. So many opinions on when to harvest. Any thoughts how long I should go here? I’m also building my knowledge for future grows. Thanks

When you start to see amber trichs it's time to harvest.

I don’t see much amber. It looks like some cloudy and dome clear. It is very hard to get good pics of your trichomes. You are much more able to see groups of trichomes thru your eye loupe than a picture will show. Try to estimate the percentage of amber to cloudy. The more amber you have, the more body buzz/couch lock it will be. The more clear you have, the more hyper/jittery the buzz will be.

So I should go by the amber trichomes and not the curled orange pistils? I’ve heard the amber trichomes lead to a better high. I’ll keep my eye on it. I hear horror stories of people harvesting too soon and then too late. As a first time grower it’s nerve racking

You'll be fine. Your plants are looking sweet. I usually wait until I see about 20% amber. If you wait 'til they're all amber, you're going to be smoking some serious couch lock weed.
I had a friend that got called out of town on an emergency. By the time he got back, his had gone pretty much all amber. I smoked a bowl. If the house had of caught fire, I'd be dead. Took my legs out from under me, big time.

I hear ya. I have harvested too early and don’t enjoy the jittery feeling. Don’t go by the pistils. Go by the trichomes. Those contain the good stuff. Plants don’t go from mostly cloudy to all amber overnight in my experience. Some people will harvest in steps to give the lower buds a chance to ripen up more since they will lag the tops a little. You could also take a bud off that is clear and cloudy and let it dry quickly just to see if you like being jittery. Just take notes for reference on future grows.

I look for mostly Cloudy with some scattered Amber. You don't want clear trichomes.

That would be Karel’s Haze from Super Sativa Seed Club. It was a photo girl. Regular beans 3 out of 4 were girls too.

I'm on my 5th grow, and still go through the same thing. IS IT TIME YET?

What do the trichomes say? Mostly cloudy, 20% amber. . . Though some don’t show almost all do go amber, else how does the plant look? Is it done?
