I gotta weigh in on this.. I have noticed a difference between the harshness of a plant that I flushed and str8 watered for a week before harves, and a plant that was allowed to suck nutes until the day of harvest. I flush/water because I believe the plant would much rather consume it's own...

Pythium Rot is what its called I believe.... I think that the only difference between warmer water and cooler water is the amount of time it will take the plant to root.. Warmer = Quicker Cooler = Slower..
