best place to grow outdoors

what is the best type of soil to grow outdoors...ive tried in a swampy area as some of my firends told me...and i didn't get the results i wanted...then i tried a bone dry area with some fertilizers and crap...no good results...where is the best place to grow...and how much shade is too much shade?

best outdoor spot is the one ya get a harvest from and not jail time.

Just mix your own soil mix. As long as you have water nearby and a lot of sun, you'll be fine
