I'm currently germinating some bud. I have placed them in small pots filled with moistened potting soil and covered with a styrofoam cup to trap humidity. I'm putting them in my attic to start as its gets quite hot up there and I think it will be a good atmosphere to germ in.

What do people think of this particular set up? I was a little worried about the styrofoam cups as no light will get through.

Is this a bad thing considering they are gonna be in total darkness anyway?

When I do introduce them into sunlight how should I do this?

All advice is appreciated!

Wow. What a moment of clarity.

Thanks Hippy!
Hopefully I'll have nice little green pics soon!

Menno, depending on where you are, an attic is not always the best place to germ or grow. It tends to get way to hot. If you are going to have your operation in your attic you should concentrate heavily on your ventilation set up. If the temps get too high you will fry your plants very quickly.
