are these all the essentials for a good simple dwc?

black 5 gal
10" mesh planter (what is the advantage of going with a 6" 8")

8 outlets 16 lt per minute air pump (or should i have more lt per min. I thought this airpump would be good becasue it could handle up to 8 pots)
8.5" airstone (just looking for the best airstone)
and appropriat sized black air hose.

also how full should the bucket be with water.
how will the freshly planted clone get water?
is the humidity in the bucket enough to hydrate the clone?
if so are nutrients not required untill the roots reach down to the water?
is hydroton the best media for this sytem?

I am also debating running an air pump powered water ring instead of an airstone. similar to GH's water farm. (or do you think im making it to complicated)
am i forgetting anything?
I hope to have this running next week.
thanks for your input

To the very bottom of the net pot or just above the bottom of the net pot. Until your roots reach the water, then I keep mine at 3 gallons

My clones already have roots, which dangle into the bucket. Plus the hydroton will wick moisture to the roots if the roots are not long enough

I use a bubble cloner with no humidity dome...works great

I have nutes in my dwc when I place my clone in the net pot.

That is what I use and like.

I've had great success moving not so great seedlings into DWC and they take off. Its perfect for them. I really want to make a bubble cloner because of this but I'm using ebb and flow so I don't really know how to get them in rockwool once they've shown roots....
