Broken branch with tie down

Hey guys.I have a girl 6-7wks into flowering.I tied her down for the first time using some thread and sticking it to the wall.To my suprise, one of the main branches has completely broken off; as if it were ripped.I have no idea how the hell this happened.Could it have something to do with the tie?Is tying it down a bad thing?It's getting too tall, that's why it was tied.Ill try and get pics up tomorrow.

tying the main stalk can be tricky. what you need to do is get something rigid and tpae it to the fracture like a splint. it should heal.

I didn't bother trying to mend it back, it was already too far down the main stalk with too little fiber contact
