I have two plants that are 7 weeks old and are showing pre-flowers, I put them into bloom last week(6 weeks old). Then i read that they should have alternating nodes which both had on the branches but not the main stalk. My question is- if i flowered early will that do anything to my plants?

You can flower any time you like. Some people start 12/12 from seed. Obviously the less you veg the shorter the plant will be and the less the yield will be but there is no negative effect on the plant.
